AU at War

American University's location in Washington, DC allowed the university to offer prime facilities to the armed forces during times of war.  Though still in it's infancy during the First World War, AU made the campus available for use by the government less than a month after the United States entered the war.  Twenty years later, during World War II, AU offered up its facilities again.
