Description

In this letter, Wilbur P. Thirkield writes to Rev. G. W. Gray proposing that each of their institutions should create a Fellowship Fund to help future students attend American University by receiving a Fellowship. Thirkield also called the "Lincoln Hall" enterprise "noble" and believes it could work in conjunction with the Emancipation Day Exercises held in the south every year.
