Campus

The campus and its buildings are an important part of any university, and American University is no different.  Between its establishment in 1893 to the present day, the campus has grown and changed along with the surrounding neighborhood.  What began as rural farmland on the outskirts of DC is now a fully developed campus within easy access of downtown.  It holds the designation of being a national arboretum.
